(1) Any person or organization who wants to register a life should apply to Sub Division Forest Office or Division Forest Office in the format as per Schedule-46, in order to get the recommendation as per Section-35 of the Act:-
(a) A copy of the land owner's proof of possession and ownership of the land for which the private forest is to be registered,
(b) In the case of an organization, a copy of the organization registration certificate, the organization's renewal opening document and the organization's VAT or PAN document,
(c) Copy of freight paid receipt,
(d) Copy of map and field book certified by the Surveyor's Office,
(e) Copy of citizenship certificate.
(2) According to sub-rule (1) - If an application is received, the sub-division forest office or the division forest office shall carry out the necessary investigation and if it finds it suitable to register such private forest, it shall send it in writing to the concerned local level for private forest registration along with its recommendation. During such investigation, Sub Division Forest Office or Division Forest Office can take the help of surveyor's office as needed.
(3) Based on the recommendation letter including the report submitted as per sub-rule/(2), the local level shall register such private forest and give a certificate in the format as per Schedule-47 and give the information to the Division Forest Office.
(4). The local level should keep up-to-date records of registered private forests.
(5) The Divisional Forest Officer may provide necessary technical support for plantation of trees on private land and management of private forests.
(6) According to sub-section (3) of section 36 of the Act, when the forest produce of the private forest is transported within the local level, the local level shall put an identifiable mark or sign on such forest produce.
(7) According to sub-section (4) of section 36 of the Act, when transporting the forest products of private forest from one local level to another local level, the buyer shall use the stamp and seal of the division forest office.
